Val-De-Reuil, France - May 28th 2019 | Last week, Altix took part to a Conference dedicated to the Metal Etching Industry thanks to the PCMI (Photo Chemical Machining Institute).
The PCMI was founded in 1967, in USA and is now recognized all around the world.
There are members from Australia, United States, China, Europe (Germany, Sweden, Austria, Portugal, France, Netherlands, UK…)… This association represents a broad cross-section of all segments of the photo chemical machining and electroforming industry’s technology. It includes companies that are manufacturers or/and users of photo chemically machined parts, as well as companies that supply raw materials, equipment and services used to produce its products.
Every year, the PCMI organizes two international technical Conferences:
- The spring convention
- The fall convention
This year in May, for the first time, the spring one took place in France, next to Chantilly. For the story, Altix already took part of one similar conference in Como - Italy in 2016, but this year as it was organized in France, it was a little bit different.
In fact, last week, Altix was represented through two different ways:
- A technical presentation in Chantilly during the conference on Monday 20th followed by a round table.
- The visit of about 60 members of the convention attendees in Altix France on Wednesday 22nd.
During the convention, there were approximatively 80 participants, and Altix took this opportunity to present a subject which was: “Direct Imaging & Conventional Contact Exposure Systems for PCM Applications: Walking Through Different Real Experiences”. For the first time, we combined a technical presentation of our imaging systems with our customers experiences through videos & live interviews from USA, China, Germany and Swiss. The round table which followed was about: “Inkjet Technologies vs. Direct Imaging using photo resists for PCM applications”.
But most of all, Altix had the chance to welcome about 60 visitors all experts in PCM to visit our headquarters. We started this visit by introducing Altix and then invited all our visitors to make a plant tour having 3 different workshops:
- “Workshop Adix SA™”
- “Workshop AcuReel & Acura Premium™”
- “Workshop Adix Roll to Roll™”
This entailed to show our machines dedicated to the Metal Etching Process through real demonstrations in our factory. After a lot of questions, and real interests by our guests, they left with some souvenirs from France and from Altix.
We were glad to share a meal with all the participants, and organizers of PCMI Conference, in the Golf Restaurant next to Val-De-Reuil before they all went to the next stop to visit another French company.
